Appointment
A customer needs to make an appointment to show us the instrument that needs repairing. In most cases, adjustment will solve the problem; in some other cases, serious work must be done. In any case, we need to observe the instrument to give you specific advice.

Strings
We will give you honest advice on whether your strings need to be replaced. If you have bought strings from us, the installation is free. We offer good selections of strings, shipped directly from the distributor of the manufactures. You will also be advised on the characteristics of various brands of strings. If you are going to have an important audition, please change the strings at least one week before the event.

Bridge
Bridges must be kept straight. One without training cannot tell if a bridge is straight or not just by naked eyes. If the bridge is deformed, it should be replace. We will cut a new bridge according to the standard yet with your preference in mind.

Pegs
It is easy to stop slippery pegs due to dry weather. However, you need to keep the humidity at home around 45%-50%. If the pegs are too old, more work may be needed. The decision can only be made after the instrument is presented.

Open Seams
Seams are caused by various reasons: dry weather, bad workmanship, etc. It takes about 7 hours to let the glue dry.

Rehairing bows
If you bought a full size bow with standard grade from us, rehairing is immediate. Submit your old bow with $50 for violin, $60 for viola, and we will give you a new one as long as we have them in stock. For other bows, you need to call us for more info.
